Austin, TX (February 22, 2012) -
After years of research and development the epiQ Tracks™ products are now available to install all around the country through Hellas Sports Construction. epiQ Tracks offer the latest technology and green processes with meticulous control from raw materials to installation and after-sale service. epiQ Tracks innovative processes are geared to produce the most performance enhanced track product available since the 1980’s.
Until now, almost all polyurethane track formulas have been based on technology that dates back to the early 1960s. epiQ Tracks products start with high performance raw materials and a sustainable manufacturing process using extensively non-petroleum based materials. This makes EPIQ the most eco-friendly track surfacing system in fifty years. “We are proud to be the market leader in Eco Manufacturing Process,” says Tim Crowley, chemist and technical expert for epiQ Tracks. The Eco Manufacturing Process’ (EMP) goal is providing superior manufacturing while using greener technology to create a better product.
Another invention is the epiQ Tracks pore sealer utilized in the EPIQ V300 and X1000 layered base-mat systems. The single cast sealer (SCS) is providing a thixotropic effect seamlessly binding layers together. The new SCS EPIQ pore sealer actually encases the pores by creating a mechanical lock with the subsequent layer. “This is better chemistry, requiring less labor while creating a better product overall,” says Crowley.
The epiQ Tracks products do not contain any solvents, heavy metals or other toxic materials (no mercury). epiQ Tracks work with eco-friendly, renewable resources.
“These products are readily available to schools, stadiums and arenas and we can’t wait to see the results in terms of athletic performance,” says Bob Allison VP of Hellas Sports Construction track operations. Hellas is a certified installer of epiQ Tracks and is introducing the product line in all markets.
